About Us

Your hosts: Yvonne Bürgin & Jörg Eichhorn

A deep love for outdoor living was what drew us from Switzerland to Kelowna in the  Okanagan Valley – we believe there is no place more beautiful in ‚SUPER NATURAL‘ British Columbia (BC). Both of us offer a background in hospitality and tourism. Together with our team at Myra-Canyon Ranch we are your hosts of the Bed, Bale and Breakfast as well as your contact for the vacation rental and the horse boarding.
We love to share our passion for the great outdoors with you. And who knows, we might find the time to share with you a trail ride in the Myra-Bellevue Provincial Park or to come along with you for a hike on the Kettle Valley Railway Trail (KVR).

Visit our guestbook and read the comments about us and Myra-Canyon Ranch.

Your wrangler: Roland Nützel

Roland, called Roli, began his experience with horses in Switzerland and seriously got involved in natural horsemanship upon his arrival to Canada.

He participated in a wide range of clinics, accomplished the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) Trail Guide and is a certified riding instructor. Roli enjoys going out with the horses on pack trips on his own and in small groups for several days where he appreciates the beauty of nature.

Roli is also a member of the Garnett Valley Gang. A dedicated and fun-loving group of volunteers that bring the “Wild West” on the Kettle Valley Steam Railway alive as they ride out of the hills to board the train and "rob" passengers for local charities.

Right now Roli is in the process of taking a nine months farrier school in Vancouver which will be completed at the end of June 2011.

Taking people out on trail rides from Myra-Canyon Ranch is just another way for Roli to share his knowledge and passion for horses and the great outdoors.

Your wrangler: Gina Huber

Gina was born in Switzerland and started riding horses when she was 6 years old. She has been horse crazy all her life and wants more than anything to be around horses all day long. She has been a member of Pony Club since age 12 and done many horse riding camps as a teenager.

Gina has achieved her Level 1 Parelli in 2010 and plans to get her level 4. She is a Certified Level 1 Instructor for English, Western and Trail Guide.

Gina enjoys trail riding most but also likes show jumping and barrel racing.
